What made you want to learn Tagalog in the first place?
I wanted to learn Tagalog for my boyfriend and because the Philippines is my favorite travel destination.
What was your experience with Tagalog before you started using Tahanan?
Before using the Tahanan app, i tried learning Tagalog with a book, but it was more difficult than i expected. It was mostly just about memorizing vocabulary.
What were some of the biggest challenges you had with learning Tagalog before Tahanan?
There are hardly any good Tagalog learning books, which made it really difficult to learn.
How has Tahanan helped you make progress?
Tahanan challenges you with interactive exercises that help you reinforce the vocabulary you’ve learned.
What parts of Tahanan have been the most helpful for you?
The coaching feature in the app is incredibly helpful. You don’t just learn the word, but also how to pronounce and stress it correctly right away. This makes a huge difference when learning a foreign language.
Have you noticed any changes in your real life since you started learning? For example, understanding family more, having conversations in Tagalog, feeling more confident speaking, or anything else.
Now i can understand and read a lot of what my friends in the Philippines share about their lives on social media. That’s what makes me happiest about the progress i’ve made with the app.
What would you tell someone who wants to learn Tagalog but is still on the fence about starting?
I would recommend Tahanan to anyone who wants to learn Tagalog. It’s super easy to use and explained in a clear, beginner-friendly way.
